List of Credit Information Providers
This page provides information about lenders, known as Credit Information Providers, who submit personal and credit data to the Central Credit Register. It explains how changes in loan ownership or lender mergers may affect the names on your credit report and guides you on what to do if you need more information.
Who are Credit Information Providers?
Credit Information Providers are lenders who submit personal and credit information to the Central Credit Register.
Changes in Credit Information Providers
Lenders may occasionally sell portfolios of loans, merge with other institutions, or be taken over. These changes can result in a different Credit Information Provider's name appearing on your credit report. In such cases, the new provider is required to report information to the Central Credit Register, including their name.
The Central Bank’s Consumer Protection Code sets out the conditions under which such transfers should be notified to consumers. You can find information on the Central Bank’s Consumer Protection Code here.
Accessing more information
Your credit report is created only from the information submitted by each Credit Information Provider. The Central Credit Register does not have access to any supporting documents related to your loan, such as application forms or terms and conditions. If you need this information, you should contact the Credit Information Provider shown on your credit report directly.
